This piece was inspired by the iconic mythical unicorn mascot of the Boston Marathon, representative of an elusive and never-ending chase. As the Boston Athletic Association CEO Jack Fleming said, “The unicorn is a mythological figure that is meant to be pursued, but in that pursuit, you never catch, so it inspires you to continue to try — to race harder in the case of running — and though it may be elusive, it really is the pursuit of the unicorn that makes you better and better and better.” Chase Your Unicorn is a heralding piece meant to inspire and remind us to always chase our biggest and most elusive goals, running related or not. Even if we never reach them, we will be more excellent for it because of the pursuit.

When I was seven years old, I watched the Boston Marathon on TV and told my family, “I want to do that someday.” I’m so proud to be running Boston in support of Community Rowing Inc., one of the most impactful sports organizations in our region. CRI provides access to rowing for youth, adults, veterans, and people with disabilities, and they are a global leader in para rowing—engineering adaptive boats, training Paralympic athletes, and opening doors to sport for people who otherwise might never have the chance. Their work is rooted in the belief that access to movement and community improves both physical and mental health at every stage of life. Running for CRI is a privilege, and fundraising for them is deeply personal to me as someone who has experienced firsthand how transformative access to sport can be.

I hope you’ll consider helping me cross the 2026 Boston Marathon finish line by supporting this cause. These limited edition prints were produced to celebrate an iconic finish line chase many years in the making
